rebels with a cause
We met in 2019 and almost immediately we both recognised that this working relationship was special, and it soon blossomed into total trust, support, friendship and appreciation of what other each brings to the table - a true partnership.
Since then we have gone on to win awards - individually and for our films - and create work that has inspired and shaped generations. In 2019 we made our first feature, Uprooted - The Journey of Jazz Dance.
After a successful festival run the film was licensed by HBO. Our second film is currently on Netflix, and our extended work has found homes on Disney+, Amazon, Apple TV, Sky and NT at Home.
Our experience in the industry over the last 15 years has given us unique perspectives on the world as well as the stories being told and we are determined to bring to light stories that will be impactful and empowering.
We have an exciting slate of documentary, scripted features and series currently under development.
Our production company name, Persistent Rebels, reflects us as individuals, as well as paying tribute to all of the rebels who came before us.
